The situation:
A very early stage Private Equity backed venture aimed at digitalising a traditional print-based industry required an interim HR Director to secure their first UK-based acquisition. The HR deliverables included:
- Handling all of the people-related due diligence
- Managing the transition into the new entity
- Building an HR platform to integrate future global acquisition activities based on a new organisational model.
The solution:
Alium provided a highly experienced senior HR professional with international experience in Private Equity. They operated as a core member of the small Executive team, contributing to organisational strategy and design, through to operational, hands-on management of all transaction-related HR matters. Having secured three acquisitions, the role was backfilled by a less senior, more tactical operator to role out the HR infrastructure.
