Belgium Sales manager moves to becom General Manager, France & Western Europe.
This executive, with a wealth of sales and marketing experience in the Benelux countries, needed to step up and become a general business manager and deal with the strategic business demands of the wider operation and the stewardship of a combined business.
He needed to lead, manage through managers, juggle the longer-term issues against short-term results, achieve early wins and sustainable change, and handle the organisational politics management including the culturally different and troublesome French operation.
We helped him to implement a radical re-structuring involving the centralisation of finance, the introduction of SAP, the rationalisation of warehousing into a single location in Germany and the complete re-structuring of the French operation.
