2How Useful Is Social Media In Finding An Interim Assignment?
Our Interim Annual Survey results highlighted how interims are using social media and particularly LinkedIn. Over 87% of the 1000 interims that participated in the survey use this social media channel; making it an important tool both for individuals looking to marketing themselves as an interim manager, and for organisations looking to hire one.
Interim Assignments And Social Media
Along with the question about their social media usage, we also asked whether any assignments had come through social media in the last year. 20% of those surveyed that use social media had gained at least one assignment by making connections this way. In fact a recent discussion on LinkedIn has highlighted how useful this platform is for networking – see How do you best develop your network to minimise down time?
So it is no surprise that the majority of interims also thought social media would continue to be an important tool for finding assignments in the future. What do you think? Have you hired an interim having connected with them on LinkedIn?
The infographic below shares all our interim survey results, including these insights into social media. If you did not participate in the survey and would like to add your views, please comment at the end of this post.
Our thanks go to all 1000 interim executives who kindly completed the survey and gave us so much insight into the market. Please feel free to share or embed the infographic, the embed code is below:
