Experience
David worked at Kingston Smith LLP before leaving practice to pursue a career in finance and commerce. Initially joining Securicor (now part of G4S) as the Management Accountant within their recruitment business, David went on to become the European Management Accountant for Securicor Network Europe, the European arm of the then Securicor parcels business, with responsibility for the financial control of 7 European Hubs. Immediately before joining Alium, David was the Management Accountant at Wegener DM plc, the ultimate parent of Datalocator (DLG) Group, the UK’s largest provider of consumer lifestyle data.
 
Responsibility
Within Alium, David is ultimately responsible for all aspects of finance, Company Secretarial, compliance, HR, IT and the running of the back office. His experience and exposure to larger commercial organisations has facilitated the implementation of synergies into a smaller, but rapidly growing business, such is the profile of Alium. As part of his role, David has recently completed projects to restructure the IT, telecommunications and mobile working capability within Alium – delivering to the Board the means to meet its strategic aims and financial objectives. He has driven the improvement of internal processes, embedded them in the business and directs the continuous development of the company CRM database as a strategic business tool.
 
In addition to his role as Finance Director and Board member at Alium Partners Ltd, David also provides assistance to the majority business owner of Alium with financial planning, modelling and Company Secretarial services for several internet start up companies.
